Sgambelluri is an artisan company in Siderno in the region of Calabria that produces "little joys for the palate"!
Pastry master Salvatore Sgambelluri opened his family's pasticceria in 1978 in Siderno, a seaside town on the Ionian coast of Calabria. Over four decades it has become one of the region's best-loved nougat makers, and today Salvatore runs it with his children.
Torrone is at the heart of what they make. They use only Avola almonds, prized as some of the finest in the Mediterranean, along with Calabrian honey, figs, and citrus. The range includes crunchy croccante, soft chocolate-covered torrone bars, and chocolate-dipped Calabrian figs. Every piece combines old pastry-shop secrets with careful modern technique. The family calls their sweets "piccole gioie per il palato," little joys for the palate.
