Cianciullo

Cianciullo's story:

Like the most enchanting stories, ours was born from the passion and talent of our Grandad, Nonno Pasquale, a talented chef falling in love with the art of baking and pastry making. Over the years, together with our Grandma, Nonna Michelina, he has passed down to his three children all his devotion, tenderness and knowledge of pastry making.

Their three sons, custodians of an artisan heritage of immense value, began working in synergy, making bread, biscuits and other delicacies renowned in the village of Jelsi, and throughout the whole Italian region of Molise. After this initial shared family experience, the firstborn child, Papà Francesco began to dedicate himself to the fullest to the process of fresh pastry making. Over the years, his deep expertise which focused on the research and secrets of dry biscuits, culminated with the creation of his own artisanal biscuit factory, the Biscottificio Cianciullo, located in Jelsi.

The Cianciullo’s sweet and savory production of biscuits and leavened products stands out at first flavour and glance for the uniqueness and refinement of its traditional recipes, led by ancient family recipe books and traditional preparations from Jelsi and Molise. It is precisely thanks to the authenticity of the flavours, the genuineness of the ingredients, and a pinch of experimentation that the products of the Cianciullo artisanal biscuit factory continue to conquer numerous palates, in Italy and abroad.

The success of Papà Francesco and the Biscottificio Cianciullo is a family triumph, which involves Mom Caterina, Michela and Pasquale, they are the active parts of this wonderful world of sweetness, craftsmanship, and high quality.

In Jelsi, a small town near Campobasso in Molise, Cianciullo crafts a variety of delicious biscotti, taralli, and other Italian specialties.
