Pistachios and almonds are blended together with egg whites, honey and sugar to make this chewy Italian nougat treat.
The Oliviero family has been producing exceptional Italian torrone since the early 20th century. Imported from Monteforte Irpino, near Avellino, Italy, Oliviero uses only the best ingredients to craft their traditional torrone.

Not the same anymore. Seems like a new recipe. The nougat is cut different, sticky and moist and the pistachios are mushy.
The nougat itself was a bit drier than the other Oliviero bars I've tried so far, but that was OK. This had a nice pistachio flavor and I'll definitely order it again.
This is the soft Torrone that you remember as a child. So good. Made with the best ingredients. Would definitely make a perfect gift.
I've actually had one in each hand...Can't afford that very long, what with being on a fixed income and all. I've heard about these "Go fund me" sites people use to raise money for various causes. Think maybe that could keep me in Torrone? Seriously, I can't believe I eat two of these in a single evening!!! SOOO GREAT! not merely good...
