Sperlari Torrone Fans - the wait is over! We’re thrilled to showcase Sperlari Torrone, Chocolates, and Caramelle—a lineup of iconic Italian confections made with passion and quality since 1836. With nearly two centuries of expertise, Sperlari brings the flavors of Italian tradition to every bite, making each treat a celebration of authenticity.
Sperlari recently updated its packaging to offer a modern look that reflects both its Italian heritage and premium quality. The redesign, crafted by QNY Creative, honors Sperlari’s Italian origins with visuals that include Cremona, the birthplace of the brand, and a map of Italy. While staying true to its classic branding, Sperlari’s new color palette differentiates its torrone types—bright red for the classic crunchy almond nougat, brown for chocolate, and blue for the soft nougat bars. Not to worry the recipes and the taste are the same!
Sperlari torrone has been delighting families for over 180 years! In a little shop in the heart of Cremona, not too far from the Piazza del Duomo, Enea Sperlari began his business in 1836 selling two of Cremona's specialties - torrone and mostarda - a condiment made from candied fruit preserved in a syrup flavored with mustard essence and commonly used as an accompaniment to meats, cheeses, and charcuterie.
He quickly won over the locals and soon became world-famous. Even the composer Guiseppe Verdi is rumored to have traveled to Cremona to visit the Sperlari store! If you're ever in Cremona, you can still visit the store on Via Solferino.
Sperlari is a sponsor of the Festa del Torrone held in Cremona every November. Torrone makers, tourists, and locals gather to learn about torrone, meet the artisans, and of course taste the torrone! We're happy to carry a wide range of Sperlari torrone, chocolates, and their hard candies!
