Satisfy your sweet tooth!
Serra Industria Dolciaria was started in 1947 by Florent Serra and Loredana Ferrari near Serravalle Scrivia in the Piedmonte region. Today their factory is run by their family in Novi Ligure.
I remember having this, or something very similar as a little kid in the 70s from relatives returning from Italy. I had no idea what they were called, but I always remember how good citrus candy that actually tastes like citrus fruit is, especially blood orange. My only complaint is that it's hard to stop eating them!
I would love Santa to deliver another 10 bags to me!
I really like the blood orange and lemon filled hard candy. They taste like the fruit, but with a bit a sweetness. They are a good size & shape, so if I have one in my mouth & I can still have a conversation without removing it or putting it to one side of my mouth. They are individually wrapped, so I can just toss some in my purse, pocket or car. They aren’t as sweet as filled and unfilled hard candies that are made in the United States because they don’t have all 3 of these sugar’s in them. (high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup’ and sugar). They do use sugar, glucose, real lemon or blood orange but no artificial dyes or colors.
Love the orange flavor and soft fillings!
Delicious candies! My daughter gave a box of assorted Torrone candies to my parents as a gift...which inspired my sister, and then me, to each order our own supply of Torrone goodies. Soooo yummy. We'll be ordering again!
