No, we don't make, package, or distribute the torrone! We work hard to source a wide selection of torrone and confections, but we don't manufacture any of the products that we sell!
How do we select the products we sell?
When we started, the majority of the products that we sold were sourced from Oliviero Industria Dolciaria. Originally in Ospedaletto d'Alpinolo, near Avellino, Italy, the factory moved to a bigger facility in Monteforte Irpino. The Oliviero family has been producing torrone, croccante, and other confections near Avellino since the beginning of the 20th Century. They continue to use traditional recipes while experimenting with new flavorings and techniques. While we still carry many of their products, we've been able to expand and diversify our offerings!
Our other products are selected based on customer input and assessment of quality ingredients. We look for well-known companies as well as smaller, lesser-known producers to help round out the selection we offer. Some of the imported Italian nougat we offer come from Ferrara, La Florentine, Quaranta, Antica Torroneria Piemontese, Flamigni, Fiasconaro, Strega Alberti, Vincente, Pennisi, and Sorelle Nurzia.
We have candies and licorice from Leone, Sperlari, Cedrinca, Perle di Sole, Amarelli, Menozzi, Sidari, and Baci. As well as taralli from Nonna Maria, Colacchio, Cianciullo, Terre di Puglia and amaretti di saronno. Peluso, Furco, and Daoli biscotti!
